Kitchen wall glazings and furniture glazings

The glazing for kitchen walls is either 6 mm thick float glass or 6 mm thick tempered glass. The glass can be bright, special bright optiwhite or etched background-painted glass. Optiwhite special bright glass is usually used when as bright as possible and color-neutral finish is required.

We recommend to use background-painted Optiwhite when an optimal white end-result is required.

A “matte and frosty” surface is achieved with etched background-painted glass. The aforementioned glazings can also be used in kitchen walls without a painted background, for example on top of wallpaper.

A ceramic powder enamel is used as the colorant in background-painted glass, and it is burned permanent in the background of the glass alongside of tempering. There are multiple color options. Kimmelux has to offer 12 basic colors, and as they can be mixed, there is almost an infinity of color options. Almost all colors from the RAL color chart are also possible.

The glazing can be fixed with silicone or with aluminum molding.

More unique wall glazings

A so-called broken wall glazing, like the one presented in the header image of the page, is a personal option for kitchen wall glazing. The glazings can be done in any color and with lighting. The minimum thickness of glazing is 18 mm.

From bright glazing options of kitchen walls we recommend pure white, because it has got the best color reproduction.
