Mirrors

Kimmelux manufactures made-to-measure mirrors according to the customer’s requirements.

We manufacture mirrors made-to-measure. In addition to clear mirror glass, several colour options are available, including grey, bronze, blue and green. Alongside standard polished edge finishing, mirrors can also be supplied with a 10–30 mm bevelled edge.

There are several mounting options for mirrors: rear-mounted brackets bonded to the back of the mirror, U-profiles, aluminium profiles and wooden frames.

Illuminated mirrors, where the back of the mirror is sandblasted and the light shines through the sandblasted area, are modern and highly popular. The size and patterns of the sandblasting are always customised individually.

The back or surface of the mirror can also be sandblasted with a pattern chosen by the customer, based on a drawing or photograph.

Design your own mirror, and together we’ll create a mirror that reflects its owner’s style. We are happy to help with the design and explain the technical limitations of the manufacturing process. Draw, write down or describe the mirror of your dreams and bring your idea to us. Imagination is the only limit!

Mounting options

J-profile
The mirror can be fixed at the top and bottom using aluminium J-profiles. The lower profile is fixed to the wall at the desired height, after which the position of the mirror’s top edge is marked. The upper J-profile is then fixed to the wall. Thanks to the slotted holes, the profile can be pressed against the mirror’s top edge, locking the mirror securely in place.
Mirror mounting hooks
Traditional hooks are also a popular mounting method. Usually, 4 hooks are used per mirror.
Aluminium profile mounting
An aluminium profile frame or mounting rails can be bonded to the back of the mirror. The aluminium profile has fixing holes for mounting, allowing the mirror to be hung in place. Using an aluminium profile provides the same benefit as adhesive mounting — no visible fixings are left on the front of the mirror.
Concealed fixings
Mounting plates can also be bonded to the back of the mirror, allowing the mirror to hang from screw heads like a picture frame. Using mounting plates provides the same benefit as adhesive mounting — no visible fixings are left on the front of the mirror.
Adhesive mounting
Bonding the mirror directly to the background surface is a good mounting method, especially when a furniture gap or wall recess is to be “filled” with a mirror. We can provide expert advice on whether an adhesive is suitable for mirror bonding. We can also supply the right adhesive for the purpose, along with clear bonding instructions.
